My heartfelt pranaam at the Lotus Feet of Sree Guru Parampara!
Sree Guru Purnima, also revered as Sree Vyaas Purnima, is one of the most sacred days in the Sanaatan tradition. This year, on 29th July, I was blessed to spend this auspicious occasion in the divine presence of my Guru H.H Maa Purnananda ji at the blissful SISS Ashram—a blessing I cherish with deep gratitude.
I arrived at the Ashram on 27th July, where the celebrations began with Sree Guru Paad Puja and the joyous birthday celebrations of Manish ji. The atmosphere was filled with devotion, gratitude, and the warmth of the SISS family.
The following day commenced with meditation, setting a serene tone for a series of enlightening discourses on the ‘Commandments of Sanaatan Dharm’. I walked into the sessions with very little understanding of the subject, unsure of what to expect. To my surprise, I found myself completely absorbed. The teachings were presented with such clarity and practicality, that profound principles became accessible and deeply meaningful. They ignited in me a sincere desire to study my first Upanishad, the Taittiriya Upanishad, with Mata ji's blessings and the grace of Sree Guru Parampara.
The evening concluded with Divine Sojourn, a beautiful presentation by Manish Ji, who took us through treasured photographs and memories spanning many years of SISS. It was a touching reminder of the journey so far, under the Holy shelter of SISS.
The sacred day of Sree Guru Purnima began with Sree Gurudev's Aarti, Purna Kumbh, followed by Temple Aarti and an inspiring explanation of the significance of meditation.
The morning continued with the convocation ceremony, making the day even more memorable. It was amazing to listen to everyone's heartfelt experience of the Spiritual Retreat.
After breakfast, preparations began for Sree Guru Paduka Puja. It was my privilege, along with Prabhav Ji and Ranjini Ji, to assist in the Altar setup under Mata ji's loving guidance. Manish Ji performed the Paduka Puja at the Altar. The beautiful Rajaupachaar offered with devotion to the great Sree Gurus, reflected the love and reverence that filled the Ashram.
The celebrations concluded with the sharing of Mahaprasad, where everyone came together in joy and gratitude.
As I reflect on these blessed days, my heart overflows with gratitude. Year after year, I receive the priceless opportunity to be at SISS on Sree Guru Purnima, immersed in the grace of Sree Guru Parampara. Such blessings cannot be earned—they are nothing short of His boundless grace. I some-where feel I am one of those chosen few and I pray, that I continue to be on this divine journey to unite with my true Self!
