Humble Prostrations at The Holy Feet of Guru Maa!
Sree Krishna Janmaashtami was celebrated on 6th sept, 2023, at the Holy premises of Sree Sadguru Sharanam at SISS. We welcomed Guru Maa with the PurnaKumbh followed by Aarti at Sree Ishwar Darshan Temple. On this auspicious occasion the Holy Altar of Lord was decorated with flowers, vibrant colour plants which made it look aesthetically beautiful and Divine. For an experience one had to be present there to feel and receive it.
I felt fortunate and blessed to perform Shodashaupachaar Puja of The Lord which I did with great delight. I thought where can one get this experience of performing the ceremonial rituals as being under the presence and guidance of the Sadguru, who is the embodiment of Knowledge and Truth. There was Divine chanting and bhajans sung by Maa, which made all of us dance on the tunes of the Divine rythm expressing joy at the Holy Feet of The Lord. One cannot resist singing Gokul mein Kanha ne Janam liyo re… Aanand bhayo re… Aanand bhayo re, Mann Vrindavan hai Sajaya au Shyam, Mere antar ke angna padharna, Nand ghar aanand bhayo, jai kanhaiyaa laal ki…haathi ghora paalki Jai Kanhaiya Laal ki….
Sree Krishna is worshipped lovingly as Laddoo Gopal, Murli Manohar, Kanha, Govinda, Madhav…. worshipping the Lord as a child that one is reminded of that affection which Yashoda Mata had; as a friend, of that faith and love which Sudama ji had; as a beloved, of that devotion which Radha ji had and as a Guru of that surrender which Arjun ji had.
Sree Krishna was offered lovingly maakhan mishri, puri aaloo, chana, halwa, chocolates and fruits by all of us which was taken as Prasad. And finally, to conclude along with the auspicious celebrations there was a takeaway in the form of learning from Gurudev’s message which was given to us by Guru Maa that, “if one breaks the Divine Law one has to bear its consequences also”.
I would like to mention with utmost joy the release of Kishkindha Kand by Maa on the auspicious occasion and would like to thank Manish ji for the kind efforts put in for the benefit of all.
I offer my gratitude and pray that may I be constant in my endeavor to sincerely offer my services at The Holy Feet of Guru Maa.
