Sree Guru Purnima: A Day of Gratitude and New Beginnings

Shaila
(Chh. Sambhaji Nagar)

Hari Aum!

Aum Sree Sadgurave Namah!

Sree Guru Purnima is a sacred occasion dedicated to revering Sree Guru—the Divine Teacher, Who leads us from ignorance to Knowledge, darkness to Light, death to Immortality. It is a time to reflect on the invaluable role of Sree Sadguru in shaping our Spiritual journey and inner growth. I bow at the Holy Altar for always guiding and blessing me and my family in ways unknown, unrealised!

During Sree Guru Purnima retreat this year, we learnt in great depth about Sree Guru Stotram - reinstalling the meaning of ‘Guru’, the depth of why a revered Guru is a must on the Spiritual journey in one's life.

The one thing that resonates with me even after days is - “Our mind is even more explosive than a nuclear weapon. Even after the physical body dies, the mind & intellect do not get destroyed and that is what we are reborn with. Hence it becomes the most essential area to work upon.”

Am ever so grateful to be under the wings of Maa ji and feel humbled to have a Sree Sadguru in my Spiritual journey.

This year’s Sree Guru Purnima was deeply special for me, as I was blessed with Naam Deeksha—an initiation into the revered path shown by the great Sree Guru Parampara.

With the grace of Pujya Guru Mata, I was given a new Spiritual name: ‘Shaila’ (previously Sweta). Rooted in Sanskrit, Shaila means Shail Putri – daughter of Himavan, symbolizing strength, steadiness, and silent Spiritual depth. I pray to live up to this name, embodying the qualities of firmness, grace, and unwavering devotion. With the blessings and guidance of Sree Guru Parampara and Mata ji, I once again humbly pray that, this be the beginning of a life anchored in Dharm, Service, and Truth.

With folded hands,

Thank you, Guru Maa for everything.

Thank you, Manish ji, for your untiring efforts in reshaping my mind to tune with the Higher.

Pranaam!
