Humble prostrations at the Holy Altar of Sree Guru Parampara!
Vijayadashmi is observed on the tenth day of Shardeeya Navratri to celebrate the victory of good over evil. This year we celebrated Vijaydashmi on 24th October at Sree Sadguru Sharanam at SISS. We welcomed Maa with the Purna Kumbh, and after seeking Maa's blessings we proceeded to Sree Ishwar Darshan temple to offer our prayers at the Holy feet of the Lord Sree Ishwara. With deep devotion, me and Ranjani felt truly fortunate and blessed, to perform the Shodashaupachar Puja of Bhagwan Sree Ram.
The altar of Sree Ram Darbar along with Devi Maa Lakshmi, Devi Maa Durga, Devi Maa Saraswati was beautifully decorated with green plants, white flower garlands and diyas. While performing puja under the revered guidance of Maa, I experienced an ability to concentrate on a single task with understanding, while eliminating distractions.
We commenced the puja with Vighneshwar Dhyaanam praying to Lord Ganesh, the Lord who removes all obstacles, to bless us during the puja. Then, with Guru Smaranam (Dhyaanam) we took the blessings of the SadGurus by whose grace the puja can take place. Then with Devta Dhyanam and Avaahanam, we invoked the Divine for Their blessings. Thereafter, all the steps of the puja, as prescribed, were followed. In Rajaupchaar, Maa sang Sree Ram Stuti: "Sree Ramchandra kripalu bhaja mana …", which was a blissful experience. With chanting of the Shanti Mantra, the puja was successfully completed. We then took the blessings of Guru Sree Tapovan ji Maharaj, Gurudev Chinmayanand ji and Maa before proceeding for prasad which was served over fresh green leaves.
I offer my humble gratitude at the Holy feet of Sree Guru Parampara for guiding me in my Spiritual journey and I most humbly seek Their blessings to be able to correctly discriminate between the right and wrong and then to bless me with the courage and strength to fight evil over good.
My Humble prostrations at the Holy and Lotus feet of Maa!
