A New Beginning: The Grace of Sree Guru Parampara
Prabhav
(Chh. Sambhaji Nagar)
A New Day - 11th July 2025; A New Name – ‘Prabhav’!
Hari Aum!
Maa’s love and blessings showered upon me on this very auspicious day - I received the sacred initiation at Guru Maa’s feet in the form of Naam Deeksha and Japa Deeksha.
It started with Maa tying the mauli on my wrist and blessing me. Maa then announced my new name – ‘Prabhav’ (previously Anant) and went on to lovingly explain the meaning behind it - a name accorded to Lord Hanuman ji because of His enthusiasm to carry out the work of Lord! Maa then whispered the Beej mantra in my ears!
The entire moment felt Divine and surreal!! Surrounded by members of the SISS family, everyone lovingly addressing me by my new name - in that moment, there was no place I would rather be!
As always, Sree Gurudev’s message of the day seemed so apt.
“The universe is a cosmos, not a chaos - there exists a mental affinity, a scientific law, a rhythm of mental relationships in which the entire living world is held together in one fabric.”
It felt exactly that! Everything seemed to have come together in that moment - there was a deep sense of gratitude, the surroundings were blissful and nature in all its abundance and beauty had put on a special show that morning at SISS. The grass felt greener, the flowers prettier and the fruits riper as the heavens showered Their blessings in the form of rain!!
This year has been a fulfilling one - starting with Sreemad Bhaagwat Saptah Mahayagnya in February. Later during a visit to SISS, an impromptu plan to visit Shuktaal, along with Maa ji, Chaitanya ji and Prapann ji happened. It felt like Sreemad Bhaagwat Katha was in continuation...
During the retreat on the occasion of Sree Purnima, the USB on this Mahayagnya was released as an offering to revered Sree Guru Parampara.
Watching the video recordings of the Discourses by Her Holiness and so painstakingly editing and compiling it into an easy USB was possible only by Chaitanya ji. Watching a glimpse of it takes me back to the time of the actual Katha and relive this blessed experience all over again!
Sincere prostrations and heartfelt prayers at the sacred Altar of Sree Guru Parampara - May Guru Maa’s grace continue to shower on me, and may I strive to live up to the virtues of the name that Maa has so lovingly accorded me with - Prabhav.
Even today, many days later, Maa’s melodious voice, ably aided by Chaitanya ji’s baritone, rings through the air and is a constant reminder of the futility of what i, in my ignorance, keep seeking:
Manaschenn lagnam Guroranghri Padme
Tatah Kim, Tatah Kim, Tatah Kim, Tatah Kim.
A prayer comes to mind as I bow down before the Divine:
Bhaktim Prayachha Raghu Pungav Nirbharam Me,
Kaamadi Dosh Rahitam Kuru Manasam Cha!
Humble Pranaam,
Hari Aum!
