Hari Aum!.
My prostrations at the Holy Feet of Sree Guru Parampara.
Sree Geeta Jayanti and Sree Tapovan Jayanti was observed at SISS on 1st
December 2025. Sadguru Sharanam wore a beautiful look adorned with
beautiful flowers and garlands. The day started with our prayer offering at Sree
Ishwar Darshan Temple. For the seekers of the Truth, Pujya Mata ji explained
the importance of Sree Geeta Jayanti which coincides with Swami Tapovan
Jayanti. We are truly blessed to be under the shelter of the Sree Guru
Parampara.
Our Param Gurudev Swami Tapovan ji Maharaj was a Master Renunciate. He
spent half of His life amidst Himalaya mountains, spending His Spiritual
pursuits in Uttarkashi and Gangotri. Mother Ganga held a special place in His
heart. Many of His writings, especially “Ishwar Darshan” and “Wandering in the
Himalayas” reflect how deeply He was influenced by the holy River. He saw in
Mother Ganga the qualities a seeker should cultivate; Purity (untouched by the
world though flowing through it), Humility (always descending from the
highest peaks to serve all), Selflessness (giving life, nourishment and energy to
everyone) and Detachment (constantly moving, never clinging). He attained
Mahasamadhi at Uttarkashi, close to Mother Ganga - He loved throughout His
life. While keeping His teachings close to our hearts, we chanted Sree Tapovan-
Shatkam along with Pujya Mata ji and offered flowers at His Lotus Feet, taking
His hundred purifying names (Sree Tapovan-Ashtottarashata-Namavalih).
Sree Geeta Jayanti is also observed on the same day. It is a reminder for all of
us to see our True Self, Which resides in our hearts, to surrender at the Feet of
the Divine at all times.
The sacred words of Mata ji still resonate in my heart as a sincere prayer on my
chosen path - “May by the grace of Bhagwaan Sree Krishna and the blessings of
Param Gurudev Swami Tapovan ji Maharaj, we the seekers pursue the Sacred
path of Supreme Divinity unabatedly.”
