Humble Prostrations at The Holy Feet of Guru Maa!
Hari Aum!
Almost two years back with the guidance of Maa, we, the members of Delhi NCR study circle decided to begin with the study of the Holy text of Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta under the discipline and guidelines of SISS. With our keen eagerness to learn the teachings of the Lord, the three of us, (Amaan, Ranjani and Ananta) tried our best to make it in time for the early morning Sunday classes. Before coming for the class, listening to Maa’s commentaries on the relevant verses gave a better understanding before each one of us took turns explaining what one has understood from each verse, as per their turn. At the end of each chapter, we did Prashnottara – Sopan based on Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta, which is compiled by Maa. So, each day, each moment became worthwhile for us which we cherish as a part of our joyous learning.
After each class we had the opportunity to ask questions from Maa to clear our doubts and we looked forward to Maa’s guidance on the verses we studied, giving us the correct perspective and understanding of our interpretation on them. We often felt how our elaborate discussions were beautifully explained by Maa in simple words in present day context. This comfort and liberty which we got from Maa has been very special for us. The significance of each verse and how we should practically implement it in our lives enforcing it with discipline, was explained by Maa. Knowing the teachings of the Lord theoretically is not sufficient but how to implement this Knowledge upon oneself is of more importance. At the end of each class Maa would read out Gurudev’s message which would give us an underlined objective for our life. Maa’s teachings inspired and motivated us to do our homework of practicing what has been told and to revise the verses till our next class for which we would try to put our best efforts.
On 23rd March 2025, Sunday, was the Samaapti of the Holy Text, and the blessed offering of Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta purnaahuti. At 11.00 am we welcomed Guru Maa with the Purnakumbh and thereafter offered our prayers at Sree Ishwar Darshan Temple. With the guidance of Maa, we offered Puja to Bhagwaan Sree Krishna and performed Homam with the deep understanding of the purpose behind it - offering of one’s ignorance into the fire of Knowledge. The oblations in the holy fire were offered with the reverberating chants of the first ten verses and the last verse of each chapter, and complete chapter 15 of Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta. Gurudev’s message of the day as read out by Maa was ‘’Desire is at the root of all actions, good or evil’’. With the message that gave us food for thought, we bowed down at The Holy Feet of Maa with humble gratitude.
We are thankful to Manish ji for his kind support and guidance which always helped us be on track and stay focused, by reminding us of the purpose behind the study circle class. We are also thankful to all the members for their kind cooperation, which is very important when we are studying together, as learning becomes more interactive. We look forward to restarting our study circle class, with the blessings of Sree Guru Parampara very soon!
Humble Gratitude at The Holy Feet of Guru Maa!
