SREE LALITA DEVI MANDIR – SHAKTI PEETH
Hari Aum!
My humble prostrations at the Holy Feet of Guru Maa!
Pranaam Manish Uncle!
I feel really blessed to have got the opportunity to be a part of the Holy Teerth with Guru Maa and Manish Uncle to Naimishaaranya. Being in such a sacred place and visiting the holy temples brought immense joy and calmness within me. I have been to various temples many times, but this visit to the temples in Naimishaaranya with Maa and Manish Uncle was very special.
I came to learn that Sree Lalita Devi Temple is believed to be the sacred place where the Heart of Goddess Sati ji fell, when Lord Sree Shiv ji was carrying the Body of Devi Sati after Her sacrifice. Devi Sati’s Body is said to have divided into 108 parts, which became sacred Shakti Peeths in India, and Sree Lalita Devi Temple is one of them.

Inside the temple, I felt very calm and peaceful from within. While sitting in front of the Deity, I forgot everything else and felt connected with the Divine. The holy darshan was very special for me, and I felt truly blessed to be in such a sacred place. Being there with Guru Maa and Manish uncle made the experience even more divine and meaningful for me.
I feel very grateful for this sacred experience and will always remember and cherish these moments. I offer my humble gratitude at the holy Feet of Guru Maa for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this Teerth.

Pranaam Maa
Teerth, in its truest sense, was the one we undertook with Maa ji, Manish ji, and the disciples of SISS. Maa had already prepared us mentally on how a teerth should be conducted. This allowed me to experience the journey with a focused mind, rather than as a tourist. This guidance shifted our approach entirely. We did not travel as tourists, but as seekers, with focus, discipline, and reverence.
At Sree Lalita Devi Temple in Naimishaaranya, a revered Shaktipeeth of our country, we were reminded of the sacred legend of Devi Sati, Whose Heart is believed to have fallen here, when Lord Shiv ji carried Her Body after immolation. Standing there, absorbing both the divinity and the story, was deeply moving.

All of us took darshan in a calm and organized manner, united in devotion. Together, we chanted:
“सर्वमङ्गलमाङ्गल्ये शिवे सर्वार्थसाधिके।
शरण्ये त्र्यम्बके गौरी नारायणि नमोऽस्तुते॥”
The chants, along with the significance of each teerth sthal, had been shared with us even before the journey began, enriching every moment with deeper understanding.
A particularly meaningful practice was offering a single dakshina envelope on behalf of all disciples at each temple, instead of individual offerings. This brought a sense of unity, humility, and collective devotion.
I returned from this teerth with immense gratitude—for Maa ji, Manish ji, SISS, and all fellow disciples—who together made this journey not just memorable, but truly enriching.
