Hari Aum!

We begin our study with,

“ॐ सह नाववतु। सह नौ भुनक्तु ।
सह वीर्यं करवावहै ।
तेजस्विनावधीतमस्तु मा विद्विषावहै ।“

We ask for blessings to put effort together, may we progress, may our brilliance be enhanced, may there be no conflict between anyone.

So when we all worked together for Sreemad Bhaagwat Katha aayojan,  I feel this prayer was working somewhere, guiding all of us towards the common goal and making it one of the reasons, for the way this entire endeavour took shape with divine blessings.

Maa’s Blessings and guidance for the last so many years was the strength which created this a joyful platform. We have been blessed to be a part of a lot of Sreemad Bhaagwat Kathas earlier and most have been with a lot of stories and melodies which would convey some meaning to us. But this one was different as it had too many deep meanings and messages to be carried with us to get back to our Swaroop, in the stories that came along. It was really beautiful how Gnyaan and Bhakti were so intricately interwoven, emanating an aura enlightening all of us. The beauty and serenity of the surroundings with the towering images of Lord’s Incarnations added to the absorption and assimilation of the teachings. Maa’s guidance of giving our full attention to the subject taught, helped us in our concentration. We were blessed with a blissful experience of Sreemad Bhaagwat Saptaah.

In the beginning, Maa explained the 6 Bhag of Bhagwaan:- 1. Gnyaan 2. Vairagya 3. Virya 4. Aishwarya 5. Sree and 6. Yash

This is what is the content of the Sreemad Bhagwaatam, which was explained to us in the days to follow. From 1st to the 12th Skands we got Tattva darshan with the help of 10 Lakshans. Maa explained, how we have forgotten our Swaroop, which is Satchidanand and are always in our swabhav, which we hold on to with with a lot of attachment. What should be remembered was explained very clearly – all that takes us towards our true Self, and the rest we can fore go.

So Maa had asked us to chant and remember the following:-

“Anaayasena Maranam, Vinaa Dainyena Jeevanam.

Dehi mae Kripayaa Krishnah, Twayi Bhaktim Achanchalaam”

“Oh Lord Krishna, I pray to You, that when I die, may it be sudden without any low feeling, and with stable, steady, unwavering devotion unto You.”

Maa had also explained the real meaning of Yogasan, which can only be done after sayyam and niyam, to keep us fit to keep ourselves in the service of God. Whenever we try to go towards God the whole Prakriti helps, as that is our Swaroop. Delay is only from our side which prevents us to get back to our Real Self.

“Hari Sharnam”, “Sree Krishna Govind Hare Murari”, “Kasturi Tilakam…” are some of the chants which help us elevate ourselves.

“Hamare Navdwaar se Bhagwaan ke madhur swar hi nikle, bas hame yahi praarthna karni hai.”

How to chant the different kinds of Mantra-s were explained to us. Pauranik Mantras can be chanted at any time and all the times, but for Ved Mantra chanting, we have to follow certain disciplines. Gap between two Japa and its significance was also explained to us.

  • Aadhyatmik Gnyaan can never get destroyed.
  • Raksha Kavach prayer protects our Spiritual endeavors.
  • Our ego and attachment are our biggest hindrances on our path to Moksha.
  • Difference between sin and merit was explained. The agony of our past misdeeds can be reduced by our sadhaana and understanding.
  • Our sajateeya vrittis take us towards God and vijateeya vrittis takes us towards the world and its happenings. Vishaya se hi vish hai.
  • The symbolism of king Dashrath ji was explained as body with 10 pure indriyaas steady towards the Lord and mother Kaushalya as sattva guna, Kaikeyi mata as rajo guna and Sumitra mata as tamo guna.
  • Sun God is symbolism of Gnyaan and Moon God is symbolic of completeness.
  • We must always aspire to go towards Immortality from mortality.
  • We are living in delusion, instead we should be living in Reality.

Maa explained us with so much simplicity and clarity that I am completely inspired to follow what has been passed on.

My heartfelt gratitude at Her Holy Feet.
