To Act or Not – The Signal Within

Hari Aum!

Humble prostrations at the Holy Feet of Maa ji.

The Call Talk on the subject topic “Action, Reaction & Reflex action” was very insightful.

Action is something that we take so routinely and so casually. While listening to the talk, a window was slowly opening, literally throwing light over our automatic, everyday way of thinking style. It helps us relook at things, see the connections at the deeper levels and think clearly into our own mindset behind our actions.

Many of the moves that we take in life can also be exits (that is not doing or reverse action), only if we have the wisdom & the right guidance at that time. Maaji’s talk provides the much-needed GPS at such times.

Based on our past errors, we get the reason to be optimistic, that these events have put me in the present state of journey in life, offering a chance only for the next stage of evolution. Now with the GPS at hand, things can turn around!

The session just unlocked a powerful wave of awakening. Activities happen all the time, with or without me & my-ness (that is my doer-ship), but the bigger question is - are we aware of the opportunities that it opens for a lifetime of transformation, by a change in our attitude. When blessed by the Sadguru, even mundane action could be a source of awakening.

Three pointers from the talk to gauge the driving motive of action:

-Is my desire or emotionality or reactive mindset dominant over intellect?

-Is my intellect in alignment with the wisdom (of Scripture, Shaastra)?

-Is there proper understanding of the wisdom to be able to apply in real life scenario?

Grateful to respected Maa ji for this wonderful and invaluable gift delivered wirelessly.

In gratitude, we offer our respectful prayers.

Below is my humble attempt to pen down my learnings on the last Call Talk on “Action, Reaction and Reflex action”:

Our karmas decide whether our path and goal are in same direction.

Karma can be

1) Instinctual (nature motivated)

2) Emotional (desire motivated)

3) Intellectual (deliberation with understanding)

Human being, the crowning glory of creation need not pay heed to the first two, though they are available to him. Reactions lead to repercussions. I must assess my own actions and they should not be averse to my growth.

Wisdom motivated actions with the spiritual knowledge and guidance can lead us to ‘A-karma’ (actions performed without doer-ship).

Karma can be either 1) Nitya karma 2) Naimittik karma 3) Kaamya karma 4) Nishiddha karma.

We live life based on activity, and when this is based on clear thinking instead of reactions, then only it is in the right direction. Staying on the path of Righteousness might not be easy, but that is the only way prescribed by our Shashtras.

My heartfelt gratitude for this insightful Talk.
