My humble prostrations at the Holy Feet of Guru Maa!
On Wednesday 9th November, I was excited, as we reached SISS. We offered Aarti at the Holy Altar and received blessings from Maa to start our sacred journey from SISS to Uttarkashi.
It was a 12-hour journey. After we reached, we got freshened up and went to Sree Kashi Vishwanath Temple. We had wonderful darshan there. Then we also went to Shakti Maa Temple.
The next day we left early in the morning for Gangotri. It was a very scenic and beautiful drive to Gangotri. On the way I saw snow clad mountains, the Tehri dam, waterfalls and some scenic spots. Also we were stopped by herds of sheep and two dogs who led the whole group. The blue sky was a rare sight to see.
On reaching Gangotri before taking the Holy dip, we first prayed and chanted Sree Ganga Stotram with Maa. The water was extremely cold. It was very pure and clear.
As we halted for tea breaks, Manish uncle would sometimes feed biscuits to the dogs lovingly. They were black, furry cute looking dogs.
One of my experiences was bathing in the hot sulphur spring. It is naturally flowing hot water that eradicates any physical ailment. In Uttarkashi we also walked down to ‘Sree Tapovanji Kutiya’. There I saw, where Tapovan ji Maharaj used to sit and meditate. After visiting ‘Sree Tapovan Kutiya’, we walked down to Sree Kashi Vishwanath Temple. I enjoyed hearing the stories which pandit ji narrated of his childhood memories of Sree Tapovan ji Maharaj and Gurudev. We also went to the banks of river Ganga and had a satsang session with Maa. The place was very scenic and we could have a direct view of Ganga ji. I had great fun!
I enjoyed being with everybody in the Teerth. Maa shared the experiences with us which I tried to understand and learn from them. We had good satsang sessions with Maa and Manish uncle. I also enjoyed listening to different types of ring tones with Manish uncle. On Sunday 13th November, we headed back to SISS from Uttarkashi early in the morning. I remember the last sight of snow clad Himalayas on our way.
It was a very memorable Teerth and the most enjoyable one with Maa and Manish uncle. I cherish my wonderful memories. When we reached SISS we did Aarti at the Holy Altar seeking for forgiveness for our mistakes committed knowingly or unknowingly.
Hari Aum!
