Hari Aum!
This year (2025), Kartik Purnima was celebrated on 5th November. We had the
great fortune of joining the 16th Maha Abhishekam of Sree Ishwar (Trinity) in Sree
Ishwar Darshan Temple at SISS, NOIDA.
While during Maha Abhishekam we had very close Darshan of Sree Ishwar in the
Garbhgrih, the very next day, we along with Teerth-Priya Maa Purnananda ji had
the blessings of the same Trinity in the form of Mass of Bliss (Mother Ganga) at
Haridwar.
‘If Purity of mind is essential for realization of God, devotion to Mother Ganga,
which is especially helpful in purifying the mind, must be regarded as invaluable to
all the seekers of knowledge’, says Param Pujya Swami Tapovan ji Maharaj. He
further says- ‘To bathe in the Ganga, to drink the water from the Ganga, to
worship Mother Ganga, and sing devotional hymns to Her- such are the ways of
cleansing the heart of all its dross and if such devices fail, it is certain that in
these days there exists no other method of heart purification for man’.
The glory of Mother Ganga is such that on one side Bhagwaan Sree Adi Shankaracharya ji
addresses Her by all possible adjectives in Her Praise (Devi Sureshwari,
Bhagwati…. Tribhuvan-taarini…Shankar-mauli- viharini…Haripadapaadyatarangini… Indra-mukutmani-raajit-charane, Bhuwaneshwari…..) and simultaneously He says that “I do not know (all Your) glory, O Compassionate one!”
Truly, there is no other place as sacred as Mother Ganga. Salutations to
Teerthaswaroop Swami Tapovan ji Maharaj, Param Pujya Swami Chinmayananda ji
Maharaj and Maa Purnananda ji who are as sacred as the Place of Pilgrimage.May our mind be as pure as Mother Ganga!
