A Two-Fold Divine Vision

Amaan
Faridabad

This month of October 2025, saw several important and auspicious events and festivals, each significant in their own way and sending out important messages. Just to name a few, the month began with Maha Navami, followed by Dusshera, Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, Dhanatrayodashi, Naraka Chaturdashi, Deepawali, Govardhan Puja and as I write this article, the nation is celebrating Chhat Puja.

We were fortunate and truly blessed to have been able to celebrate the festivals of Dusshera and Deepawali with Maa and Manish ji, at SISS.

This year, Dusshera was on 2nd October 2025, when we celebrate Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. One could say that both events, when celebrated together, serve as a powerful reminder that the path of Truth and Righteousness is difficult, but ultimately rewarding. Both inspire a message of integrity, courage, and moral victory.

We welcomed Maa with the Purnakumbha in Sree Sad Guru Sharanam, and then being Vijay Dashmi, we did Sree Ramchandra ji Puja, which was performed by Ananta.

All thereafter, proceeded to Sree Ishwar Darshan temple for Aarti. I offered my gratitude to the Lord, seeking His blessings to give courage, strength and wisdom to help me conquer my negative tendencies and to embrace virtuous qualities of Self realization and inner transformation. I had taken a small (about 4’ tall) Ravan, loaded with crackers (but not the loud ones), which was then burnt in Maa’s presence. If my memory serves me correctly, I have earlier seen Ravan falling at the back, or on the sides, once it is almost half burnt. But this one, seemed to fall towards the front, in the direction where Maa was standing, as if to prostrate in seeking blessings, before turning into ash. (I have taken the liberty of sharing this, because it was an amazing sight for me). We then took prasad and after seeking Maa’s blessings, took permission to leave.

On 19th October 2025, we were once again fortunate and privileged to be at SISS on the occasion of Deepawali. Maa’s beautiful message on the notice board greeted all, which read, and I quote, “This Deepawali, worship Sree Ganesh for unfailing memory, Sree Mahalakshmi for enhanced virtues & Sree Ram for enlightenment”. This was perhaps the best message I read, since a long time where-in, in just two lines, I got my Guru’s instructions and then decided what I have to do this Deepawali.

The Sadguru Sharanam was magnificently lit, as if representing the illumining power of Self knowledge ready to cast away the darkness of ignorance that veils the true nature of the Self. This reminded me of the Shanti path we chant daily:

Aum!
Asato Maa Sadgamaya,
Tamaso Maa Jyotir Gamaya,
Mrityor Maa Amritam Gamaya…
Aum Shantih Shantih Shantih”

Prayer to Almighty to lead me from unreal to Real, darkness to Light, death to Immortality.

We did Aarti at the Sree Ishwara temple. The darshan of Trinity is always so holistic and completely divine in all spheres, leaving us all in the realm of bliss.

My gratitude and pranaam to Maa ji for taking me in Her divine fold and to Manish ji for his continuous support and guidance.

Hari Aum!
