A Renewed Inspiration on the Spiritual Journey

Hari Aum!
Pranaams at the Lotus Feet of Maa.
Vijay and myself were overjoyed when Mythiliji informed us that Maa would be in Bengaluru in mid-October. We eagerly looked forward to receiving Maa and being in Her Divine presence.
Mythiliji mentioned that she and Maa would be travelling by road from Chennai on the 14th of October, and were expected to reach by around 5.00 p.m. Thanks to the notorious Bengaluru traffic, Vijay and myself managed to arrive just a few minutes before they did. We joined Mythiliji and Chaitanya in offering Purna Kumbham to Maa.
We had planned to stay for just ten minutes so that Maa could rest after the long journey — but in that divine company, time simply flew. An hour and a half passed before we realized it! Feeling a little sheepish, we took leave after inviting Maa for Lunch-Bhiksha at our home the next day.
Preparing to Receive Maa
Our home had been getting prepared for Maa’s arrival for nearly a week — cleaning and arranging with lot of joy and devotion.
Finally the day arrived! Our daughter, Vishakha’s in-laws, Muraliji and Lalithaji (who live in Coimbatore), happened to be in town. We invited them, along with Muraliji’s elder sister, Geethaji, to join us in hosting Maa. They reached early and all of them joyfully pitched in to complete the last-minute preparations — arranging the Purna Kumbham and decorating the Altar.
Vijay went to receive Maa and Mythiliji. Lalithaji and myself went downstairs to receive Maa as she alighted from the car.
Maa at Our Home
It was a moment of immense joy to offer Purna Kumbham to Maa along with our extended family. Everyone immediately felt comfortable and open in Maa’s presence. As conversations unfolded, Lalithaji shared how she used to listen to Maa’s talks every evening on YouTube during the COVID period. Muraliji asked Maa to explain the meaning of the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, which Maa expounded so beautifully.
When the discussion turned to our children, Maa compassionately agreed to speak with them over video. Vishakha and Suraj offered their Pranaams to Maa and received Her blessings.
Maa then accepted Lunch-Bhiksha, and all of us joyfully partook of the blessed Prasadam. After blessing everyone, Maa returned to Mythiliji’s home.
Evening Satsang
Later that evening, we again attended Satsang with Maa. In response to devotees’ questions, Maa spoke about the significance of Devi Durga, Devi Lakshmi, and Devi Saraswati during Navaratri. The Satsang concluded with devotional bhajans — including a soulful Krishna bhajan sung by Maa Herself.
Reflections
After every Satsang with Maa, I find myself becoming more introspective — my Manana and Nidhidhyasana improve effortlessly. In earlier visits by Maa, I would focus more on attending to Maa’s physical comforts, sometimes missing the essence of Her words. This time, I realized that I was more receptive to whatever She spoke.
Maa enquired about our Sadhana. After hearing our response, She gently advised me to begin my practice each day by reading from a Scripture. I have been sincerely following that from the very next morning.
Vijay, myself and our extended family feel deeply blessed and grateful to have been in Maa’s presence. This visit not only filled our hearts with joy, but also gave us renewed direction and inspiration on our Spiritual journey.
Hari Aum Tat Sat!
