My humble prostrations at the Holy Feet of Maa ji.
It is a joyous day for the SISS family, as we look forward to celebrating the glorious occasion of Pujya Maa Purnananda ji’s janmdivas on 9th December, every year.
How fortunate we are to have come at the Feet of Pujya Maa ji and be loved by Her & be guided by Her.
This year too, the day started with beautiful flower decorations at Sree Ishwar Darshan Temple and Sadguru Sharanam. On the sunny winter morning, the lush green Brahm Udyaan was arranged and decorated as per the occasion. The Brahm Udyaan is a symbol of life, growth and abundance in itself.
Each leaf, flower, fruit, tree, all were wishing Maa ji in their own special way! I too, full of excitement reached SISS along with the birthday cake.
I was fortunate to get Maa ji’s darshan and offer my reverence.
The atmosphere at SISS was full of fervour and warmth. The staff was busy doing last minute preparations with full devotion. All my fellow devotees were doing their assigned duties with full zeal. Manish ji as always was guiding us graciously through the final touch ups to be made ready for the celebrations. Our dear Adi was full of enthusiasm too and maintained discipline.
We all eagerly waited for Maa ji to come and it was a feeling of contentment to offer Purna Kumbh to our beloved Sadguru. Then Aarti was offered at the Holy Altar & Maa ji read out Pujya Gurudev’s message. Post that, we all proceeded to Sree Ishwar Darshan Temple for Aarti.
It was now time for celebrations at Brahm Udyaan! Firstly, Maa Ji explained why we celebrate birthdays. She said it was an opportunity or reminder for us to think about the purpose of our life. Then we heard the Sacred Hymn to Lord Shiv ‘Daaridya Dahan Shiv Stotram’ chanted by Maa ji. We need to understand the implied meaning of the Stotram to unfold the actual import of the same. The Sacred Hymn is available at the SISS bookshop for all to buy and be blessed with, by the glory of the all Auspicious Lord Shiv.
Delicious starters were served with the soup. Then we had planned some fun games and activities. All enjoyed the fun, dancing and singing.
Then we had the cake cutting ceremony followed by lunch MahaPrasad.
We all members were delighted to seek Maa Ji’s blessings on Her special day and listen to the Words of Wisdom from Her.
Nishant ji and I were immensely happy, as our both daughters came to wish Maa ji and seek Her blessings.
It is also a time of reaffirmation of the commitment for me to practice the priceless wisdom of Vedaant. May I continue to learn sincerely and diligently under the guidance of Sree Guru Parampara.
