Untie the Knot of Ignorance

Humble pranaam at the holy feet of Maa ji and Sree Guru Parampara.
To mark the auspicious occasion of Sree Adi Shankaracharya Jayanti and Sree Gurudev Jayanti, we had a Call-Talk by Maa ji.
Being a Sunday, we started the day with our study circle class at SISS. Thus, we decided to join the Call-Talk in the SISS premises.
Maa ji said, we should humbly prostrate at the Holy Feet of Sree Adi Shankaracharya ji and Sree Gurudev to understand the exact import of the word ‘Bliss’. Real Bliss is prescribed in the Scriptures by our Sadgurus. It is not mere happiness and joy that we get from the worldly objects. Thus, I need to untie the knot of three Gunas and not be a slave to them.
Sree Ishwara incarnates Himself in the form of a Guru to remove this ignorance by throwing light on the blissful Self of ours by reminding us of the Satchidaanand Swaroop of ours.
At SISS we belong to Yajurvediya Shaakha, so Maa ji chanted a Mantra from Taittireeya Upanishad to help us refrain from creating blunders.
सत्यं वद । धर्मं चर । स्वाध्यायान्मा प्रमदः ।
आचार्याय प्रियं धनमाहृत्य प्रजातन्तुं मा व्यवच्छेत्सीः ।
We must speak the truth. We must conduct ourselves on the basis of Dharma. We should never procrastinate self-study.
It is difficult for us to learn without the guidance and grace of the Guru. Thus, we must take the shelter of a Sadguru and dedicate our life at the Holy Feet of a Sadguru. We should serve all humanity and creation around us.
In ignorance we are deluded, dejected, confused so we cannot be contented and satisfied. So, karma based on Dharma can take us to Bliss.
As a seeker of Bliss, I must collect data from the Scriptures, contemplate upon them, assimilate them, and then work accordingly to grow out of the clutches of my own ignorance.
Maa ji chanted one more Mantra from Brihadaaranyak Upanishad which guides us to strive for ‘Sat’ and helps us to break open the knot of the three Gunas.
असतो मा सद्गमय ।
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ।
मृत्योर्माऽमृतं गमय ॥
We must be firm in our understanding that the world is not real. Thus, I pray to lead me from ‘false to Truth’. I seek blessings to walk out of ignorance towards the light of Knowledge, thus lead me from ‘darkness to Light’. I must put efforts to work towards the Anand Swaroop of mine, thus lead me from ‘death to Immortality’.
As a sincere seeker, I must not repeat mistakes. So, I need to ask for forgiveness every night before sleeping. So, I need to pray humbly and sincerely to Lord Shiva, The Auspiciousness in me to seek for forgiveness by chanting the following Mantra.
करचरणकृतं वाक्-कायजं कर्मजं वा
श्रवणनयनजं वा मानसं वाऽपराधम् ।
विहितमविहितं वा सर्वमेतत् क्षमस्व
जय जय करुणाब्धे श्री महादेव शम्भो ॥
Maa ji said to seek within, we must listen to Guru-Ashtakam again and again. Remaining in ignorance will not take us to Bliss.
