Humble Prostrations at The Holy Feet of Maa!
Our “Teerth’’to Sree Kashi Vishwanath and Ayodhya began from The Holy abode of SISS on the 4th of May 2023. It was my second Teerth with Maa and Manish ji along with Amaanji, Ananta and extended family members of SISS. It was early morning at SISS, we all gathered to welcome Maa with the Purnakumbh and offered our prayers with Gurudev’s aarti at The Holy Altar in Sree Sadgurusharanam. The weather was misty with a nip in the air, quite unbelievable in this month of May.
We drove down the long stretch of our journey on Yamuna and Taj Expressway. It was a beautiful drive with vast expanse of green and golden fields adorned with nature’s beauty. For a boost of energy, we halted for lunch and tea breaks. As we proceeded down the Purvanchal Expressway, the road to Kashi, the topography changed just like one’s thoughts and emotions. My mind would have easily drifted into the affairs of worldliness, but only in the presence of Guru Maa I could attain that strong conviction to ride on smoothly and be on the right track.
The ancient city of Varanasi gets the name from the confluence of the two rivers Varan and Asi. I experienced peacefulness on reaching The Holy Abode of Sree Kashi Vishwanath. It was a warm, homely and a comfortable stay which helped to overcome that little tiredness from our long journey. The place turned into an Ashram where the Guru resides. Then all activities undertaken become worthwhile because there is learning at every step. Many a times one succumbs to lower instincts due to one’s tendencies. The union has to be with The Divine and not the lower instincts. This learning is only possible in the presence of Maa. This journey helped me reunite with this thought. Then everything becomes beautiful, be it The Holy darshan and Puja at Sree Kashi Vishwanath Temple in the early ambrosial hours, the exclusive boat ride at the Holy Ghats, attending Aarti at the Holy banks of the river Ganga and the Holy darshan of Sree Ram Lala in Ayodhya and attending Aarti at the Holy banks of the river Sarayu.
I am thankful to Manish ji who has been the very foundation of our Holy journey. I would like to thank all those people who contributed with their time and efforts and much more to make our stay comfortable. Though we were handful of members but there were many hands that worked and became a part of this beautiful pilgrimage. We also had great time being together and enjoyed mouth watering delicacies of the place.
I felt so blessed to be with Maa to receive that love, care, compassion and the words of wisdom which act as a guiding force in my activities in life.
The learning is like a churning process which is for my benefit and this learning makes the Holy Teerth successful. I have learnt that when my mind is preoccupied with my imaginations, it misses a lot of essential things. As my good thoughts are due to good company and my association with SISS, I humbly accept that I receive much more than I offer. My endeavor to work upon myself continues…
My humble gratitude at The Holy Feet of Guru Maa.
Hari Aum!
