Hari Aum!
Pranams at the Lotus Feet of Maa ji!
Pranams at the Holy Feet of Sree Guru Parampara!!
The first Call Talk of 2022 indicates a very important learning, starting with invocation by Maa ji with the verse from Bhaj Govindam (Shloka 4):
नलिनीदलगतजलमतितरलं तद्वज्जीवितमतिशयचपलम् ।
विद्धि व्याध्यभिमानग्रस्तं लोकं शोकहतं च समस्तम् ॥
The need to steer our senses – Our revered Gurus tell us about the trivial stages of a lifetime, and LIFE which slips away very quickly as a droplet slides on the LOTUS leaf.
For last two years we have seen unprecedented times and life has been shattered for many families & individuals. However, have we learnt from this pandemic?? So long our near & dear ones are with us we forget to steer our senses sensibly & we indulge. Completely lost in the worldliness, we get entangled in the changing world. Hence a vicious cycle of Life & Death continues.
However, nothing in life is permanent. The happiness & pleasure that we get from the world is not permanent. It’s like the pendulum - as much happiness we get, that much suffering too is experienced.
Hence on the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami, we pray that our intellect gets fertile with Divine thoughts so that today’s topic is absorbed by us in its true sense.
Our minds blossom with devotion and we collect divine thoughts and understand the trivial aspect of our lives as we keep focus on the following picture of Sree Krishna & Arjuna to reflect on how we can handover our senses to the Supreme Divine & surrender to the Divinity.
In Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta, Chapter 2, verse 58,
यदा संहरते चायं कूर्मोऽङ्गानीव सर्वशः ।
इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थेभ्यस्तस्य प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठिता ।।2.58।।
Bhagwan Sree Krishna explains that one who hands over the five senses of perception in the hands of God, his intellect is steered with divine thoughts.
As the Tortoise withdraws all the four legs, and the head along with the tail withdraws himself from any danger from the outside world, we should similarly withdraw our senses from the outside world
As Gurudev says we must not be of the World but be in the World. We should belong to our True Self.
The mind who is the director of our senses should be channelizing the senses in the right direction, right purview, and right attitude. Hence the quality of the mind is important, and we need to rethink our learnings in the right direction and also rethink the way it can impact our mind in the right way.
Our thoughts - invoke the divinity from inside, which should blossom outside. This would then impact our actions in the direction of liberation This superimposition needs to be understood.
This life is fleeting; however, we get entangled as it would be infinitely there. Can we transcend from this mortal coil & get back to our true self?
Let’s get inspired from Maa Saraswati who holds the Veena in two hands which indicates the tuning of the mind through introspection, concentration, contemplation, reflection & meditation. For this, She also holds the Japa mala in one hand which should indicate remembering the Divine Always. The Hansa indicates the True Self, and this can be reached by the power of discrimination. All the efforts one seeker should put for self-evolution & purifying the mind is the way forward for a seeker to accomplish his goals.
Remembering Our Dearest Pablo:
Some souls come and go. We are grateful to PABLO who showed us the significance and essence of the topic of the Call Talk by Maa.
He came only to teach us. The Great Souls come and bless.
The unconditional love of Pablo has left a vaccum at SISS.
Prostrations at the Holy Feet of Sree Guru Parampara. My sincere gratitude to Manish ji for giving us this opportunity.
