Divine Grace

Pranaam to Maa ji,

As Chennai prepares for the monsoon that nourishes the Earth with life-giving rains, Chennai was blessed with another kind of nourishment in October 2025 — ‘The Spiritual’, with the presence of Maaji. On a quiet Sunday evening, while most were busy planning and shopping for Deepawali, we had the opportunity to listen to Maaji on the subject: God, Guru, and Grace (G3). We were eager to understand how to receive the Grace of Guru and God. Maaji explained that this Grace is always available; it is our sincerity in sadhana that enables us to realize and receive it.

We must be sincere in our efforts to seek Truth and experience Sat-Chid-Anand. The mind should be constantly nourished with good thoughts and actions — this removes negativity. We must remain firm in our resolve to walk the right path, without a wavering mind. We should also instill this conviction in the younger generation, so they uphold our Culture and Dharm with firmness in mind. The Grace of Guru and God will then guide our Spiritual journey. Purifying the mind is challenging. Knowing this, our Rishis gave us various paths suited to different states of mind along with our worldly activities.

  • Dwaitam helps us connect with God through physical actions, seeing a distinction between ourselves and the Divine.

  • Vishishtadwaitam takes us deeper — mentally, we see God as the Sun and ourselves as its rays; we realize we are never separate from the Source.

  • Advaitam reveals the ultimate truth: there is only One.

These three paths help us purify our mind and realize God. We should adopt the path based on the state of our mind.

We must strengthen our practice to clearly understand these philosophies and keep the mind pure, so the Grace of Guru and God can flow freely and guide our path.

Two Personal Observations from Maaji’s Visit Last Year

  1. After I completed a Puja, Maaji gently said, “Do not feel guilty if you miss a step.” Those words went beyond ritual. They taught me a life lesson: live in the present. When we let go of the past, the mind becomes clear and focuses on actions to perform which are good and righteous.

  2. The boundless love Maaji showered on everyone opened my eyes. When we extend love to all — people, animals, even inanimate things — we experience oneness. We stop finding faults. We respect others in their natural form, free from the coat of our judgments. This brings peace to the mind and harmony to our surroundings. It frees us from anxious expectations and distorted interpretations.

Our Guru Parampara love us without judgment — They see only oneness. Let us understand this and follow Their path, so our minds may become pure for Divine Grace.

Pranaam to Sree Guru Parampara.

With fond memories, pranaam to Manishji.
