Pranaams to H H Maa Purnananda ji.

Hari Aum!

On Sunday, March 22nd 2026, just before the final Online Call Talk “The Target, The Track and The Trek”, the Mangal Stuti sung by Maaji, was released online, containing Sree Ganapati Stuti, Lord Shiv Stuti, Devi Parvati Stuti, Lord Vishnu Stuti and Devi Mahalakshmi Stuti. It was indeed a special blessing we all received during Chaitra Navraatri.

Once again, I was blessed to chant the invocation prayers for the Call Talk. I chanted Sree Ramachandra Ashtagam. Because of Call Talk I had many wonderful opportunities to learn new Stotras. Monthly call talk session was started during covid time and it had been a wonderful learning platform for every seeker for the past 6 years. On behalf of every one, I thank Maa ji and Manish ji, from the bottom of my heart for their continuous effort to help the seekers to evolve on the Spiritual path.

“The Target, The Track & The Trek”, though the words are easy to understand, I was totally stunned, when Maaji explained each word in detail giving it a new perspective. Those who listened to Maaji on that day were truly blessed!

The Target

As human beings, we all fix a target in the world and put our efforts to get to the target. We can set targets only with respect to the tangible world. Only our ancient Rishis, the contemplative Thinkers had the capacity to think beyond the world and the Rishis out of compassion guided us to target ourselves towards Satchidanand. ‘Sat’ - our Swaroop within, ‘Chit’ - looking for Knowledge, Anand - looking for Eternal peace. The target should be to realize “Satchidanand Swaroop” within.

The Track

To reach the target, we have to select a suitable track. The great Rishis had developed 4 tracks to reach the target. The four tracks are: 1. Karm Yog 2. Dhyaan Yog 3. Bhakti Yog 4. Gnyaan Yog. All the tracks will lead to Mukti or liberation from that which is not Satchidanand.

1) If the seeker chooses Karm Yog sadhana, then the practices are: Dharm, Arth, Kaam and finally Moksh will lead to Satchidanand.

2) If the seeker chooses Dhyaan Yog sadhana then the practices are: Yama, Niyama, Aasan, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyaan and finally Samadhi will lead to Satchidanand.

Yama consists of five steps namely Ahimsa, Satya, Asteya, Aparigraha and Brahmacharya. Niyama consists of five steps namely Shauch, Santosh, Swadhyaaya, Tapah, Ishwar Pranidhan. Then it is followed by Aasan and 4 other steps.

3) If the seeker chooses Bhakti Yog sadhana then the practices are: Shravanam, Kirtanam, Smaranam, Paadasevanam, Archanam, Vandanam, Dasyam, Sakhyam and finally Atma nivedanam will lead to Satchidanand.

4) If the seeker chooses Gnyaan Yoga sadhana then the practices are: Vivek, Vairagya, Shatka Sampatti (Shama, Dama, Uparati, Titiksha, Shraddha, Samadhan) and finally Mumukshutvam will lead to Satchidanand.

All the four tracks give liberation from that which is not the Real. After deciding the track the seeker should not keep changing the track.

The Trek

Deciding the track alone will not lead to the target. The seeker has to Trek on the Track to reach the Target. The supportive knowledge that are required to trek are also given by our revered Rishis.

In Sanaatan Dharm, there are 6 Darshanas or Philosophies or trekking techniques, that are available to the seeker.

1. Nyayaka - established by Sree Gautam Maharshi

2. Vaisheshika - established by Sree Kanada Maharshi

3. Sankhyan - established by Sree Kapil Maharshi

4. Yoga established by Sree Patanjali Maharshi

5. Purva Mimamsa - established by Sree Jaimini Maharshi

6. Uttar Mimamsa - established by Bhagwan Sree Ved Vyas ji.

Uttar Mimamsa is further divided into 3 parts as -

Dwait Vaad explained by Sree Madhavacharya ji

Vishishta-Adwait Vaad explained by Sree Ramanujacharya ji

Adwait Vaad explained by Sree Adi Shankaracharya ji

Maaji beautifully established - The trekking track followed at SISS is Adwait philosophy taught by Bhagwan Sree Ved Vyas ji explained by Sree Adi Shankaracharya ji and further explained by Sree Tapovan Maharaj ji and Sree Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda ji.

Maaji further explained, once the trekking route is known, the seeker must start to practise and move forward on the track to reach target. To remain sufficiently focused in trekking on the chosen track, the Rishis had given the auspicious days to observe like Shivraatri, Sree Ram Navami, Navraatri etc, as per the Hindu calendar. We have to learn proper methods to observe each occasion.

Maaji concluded that, one of the best ways to reach the target is to hold on to Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta which covers all the four tracks in a beautiful manner. The trekking becomes easier, because Bhagwaan Sree Krishna Himself is literally holding our hand, as He was holding Arjun ji’s hand, taking us along the track till we reach up to the target.

Even though the Call-Talk ended, from April 18th 2026 onwards, there will be a weekly online session on Insights of Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta (every Saturday morning 7:30 am to 8:30 am, organised by SISS). The best way for us is, to hold on to the hands of Maaji and do the trekking fearlessly. I am sure, understanding of Bhagawad Geeta will open new vistas for us to see clearly the further track, to reach the awesome target - that is “Satchidanand Swaroop”.

Seeking the grace & blessings of Sree Ishwara and Sree Guru Parampara to be able to trek on this beautiful track.
