I Was Searching Outside!

Hari Aum!
My prostrations at the Holy Feet of Sree Guru Parampara.
1.Seeing the Restlessness
From the Online Call Talk by revered Guru Maa ji, the impact was such that the teaching on Target, Track and Trek did not remain just an idea. It became a mirror to my inner movement. The clarity came while listening. The points written in brackets reflect what became clear during the talk.
I could see, that my restlessness came from setting targets only in the world (seeking security, success, completion outside). I was depending on visible results (identity tied to roles and outcomes). It became clear that this habit comes from not seeing beyond what is visible (dependence on changing things).
2.The Target
There was ease (release of pressure to become something outside). The understanding became simple. The true target is not outside. It is my own Sat–Chit–Anand Swaroop (shift from becoming to recognizing what already Is).
It was also seen that every being is already moving toward this Truth:
We seek happiness — Anand
We seek knowledge — Chit
We seek to exist — Sat
So, what I was searching outside (pattern of looking outward) was actually pointing within (inner completeness). What appeared as many pursuits outside was only a reflection of something already present (quiet recognition) — THE END OF THE ENDLESS SEARCH.
3.The Track
I could see my confusion (instability). I was changing approaches again and again (lack of commitment). There was no steadiness (confused effort). The tradition (Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta) shows four tracks—Karm, Dhyaan, Bhakti, and Gnyaan. One has to choose one track and walk steadily (correction of approach).
For most of us living in the world, Karm Yog becomes the natural path (accepting one’s context). The other paths support it (alignment of effort).
Then the path became clearer. It begins with Dharm, moves through Arth, and leads to vairagya and inner preparedness (gradual inner change). The journey is structured (sense of order). Each stage has its place (impatience drops).
4.The Trek
Then came the idea of Trek. This was the real shift.
I saw that I was satisfied with understanding alone (stagnation). But knowing is not progress (clear correction). One has to live it by moving into action. One has to prepare, adjust, drop what is not needed, and continue (practice and alignment).
There will be uncertainty (lack of control).
There will be fatigue (effort required).
There will be obstacles (challenges present).
If I stop midway (withdrawal), the journey stops there (no further movement).
5.Living the Insight
Then another clarity came. There is no conflict between worldly and Spiritual life (false division drops). Spirituality is the base (clear understanding). When the base is strong (inner alignment), action becomes better (improved expression). Clarity improves. Balance improves (ease returns).
Our tradition supports this pursuit at every step:
But for all of this to execute, the blessings of Sree Guru Parampara has to be invoked for a continuous guidance and living wisdom.
Festivals and sacred observances celebrate renewal, devotion, discipline, and remembrance of higher values (inner renewal).
Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta offers clear direction for right living and steady understanding (direction)
With this clarity,
Set the right Target (clear direction).
Choose one Track (commitment).
Start the Trek (begin action).
Continue steadily (consistency).
This did not remain just a teaching (real change felt). It became a shift in living (inner steadiness). The journey is through life, with clarity (integration). The destination is not elsewhere. It is in the recognition of what is already present (final understanding).
Key Takeaway:
Restlessness comes from seeking outside (outward dependence). The remedy is to align with what is already one’s own nature (inner completeness -Satchidanand Swaroop).
Walking one path steadily (commitment and continuity) brings clarity and completion (natural resolution).
In gratitude and surrender,
Sree Guru Sharanam!
Hari Aum Tat Sat!
