Discipline the Mind to End All Sorrows
Hari Aum!
Pranaam to Maa ji
On June 15th 2026, our family was blessed with Maa ji’s delightful presence at our residence. Our Sunday was filled with eagerness for the Satsang in the evening.

Maa ji initiated Satsang by chanting Aum, filling the air and our minds with peace, preparing us to absorb all the insightful discussions that followed.
“Panic” is something our everyday lives are often filled with. It is what leads us to make mistakes or take the wrong path. It is something each and every one of us struggles within on a regular basis. Therefore, the Satsang topic, “Panic to Perfection,” seemed especially apt in helping us understand how to avoid panic and how to deal with it.
“Why do we panic?” asked Maa ji.

We all answered with simple examples, such as, not getting done what we had planned for the day, leaving us disappointed.
Maa ji simply responded by saying that ‘time’ is something we created, a concept of our mind, yet we often say we do not have enough of it. It is up to us to manage our time. If we plan to do something, no matter what, it should be done! This is how we discipline our minds to avoid any unnecessary distress.
One of the devotees questioned, “Maa ji, I do Japa and chant Shlokas every day. If I miss even one day, it throws me off track. It fills me with remorse that I did not do it, and it also causes hindrance to my schedule.”
Maa ji responded, saying, “You should train your mind in such a way that if you plan to do something at a certain time, you get it done no matter the distraction. If you do not, instead of dwelling on it and wasting more time, face the consequence and give yourself a positive punishment. You are the only one responsible for yourself, so you decide what you should do if you fail to complete something. It can be chanting a certain Mantra or performing a Puja; all for your own well-being.”
Maa ji also mentioned how the Kaliyug Mahamantra removes panic and distress -
“Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare,
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare.”
Maa ji explained that “Hare Rama Hare Rama” is a salutation to Maryada Purushottam Lord Sree Ram, Who resides in our heart and takes away our sorrow. “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna,” is a salutation to Lord Sree Krishna, Who preaches Faith and Love and how to be active but dispassionate in all actions.
Maa ji further emphasized that while doing Japa, it is not only important that we chant, but also - how we chant, the specific way to use the Japa mala. It is important to use the ring and thumb finger to hold the Japa mala ensuring it doesn’t touch the ground, while gently moving the prayer beads with the middle finger while your index finger the ego is pointed outward, signifying letting go of ego.
Maa ji continued with Her deep and engaging insights on Dharm, Arth, Kaam, Moksh and we offered our pranaam to Lord with rendition of bhajans by the devotees and concluding with Shanti Mantra, reinforcing peace within ourselves.
My humble Pranaam to Maa ji and Sree Guru Parampara for blessing us to lead a Righteous life.
Pranaam to Maa ji.

Hari Aum!
Sunday started with our preparation to welcome Maa ji. We were waiting for Satsang to begin, to deal with a subject - we experience every minute of our life. I have never heard of, or felt "Panic to Perfection". Our mind is so conditioned to always panic about the result. Maa ji explained the reason for panic and how to overcome it.

The panic in the mind is the result of assuming we are limited by time. We start feeling panic when things do not happen as expected by us. Since time is limited, there is a need for us to plan our time. A mind disturbed with anxiety and worry cannot plan well. We need a disciplined mind to plan well and execute on time. This removes the necessity for our mind to panic.
How do we discipline our mind, which is anxious to achieve all our desires? We need to calm our mind. Having said that, it is very difficult to calm the mind. We need to understand that time is a concept of the mind; it does not exist in reality. We should inculcate the habit of following the guidelines provided by Sree Gurus to calm the mind. We should understand that change is inevitable and accept it gracefully; we should not excuse ourselves from the change. When we plan, put in 100% effort, and do things the Righteous way, then naturally we should get positive results from our actions. We should discipline ourselves to perform activities while feeling the divinity in action, and do them on time. If we deviate from this discipline, we should punish ourselves with a positive activity, like doing more Japa.
We should do Japa regularly and revel in the name of Lord Sree Ram ji and Lord Sree Krishna ji. Sree Ram ji makes us disciplined and removes sorrow and panic from our mind. Sree Krishna ji makes us active and dispassionate about results.
I experienced peace of mind in the presence of Maa ji. I realized through Japa, a Spiritually inclined mind, and Righteous actions will take us towards our true Self, while keeping us safe at the Feet of Sree Guru Parampara always.
Pranaam to Maa ji!
