May the rising sun of the year 2016 bring fresh thoughts and vibrant activities to lead you to progressive happiness!
Irrespective of your age and abilities, how would you make this happen? In fact, this is the secret of Spiritual life. The Spiritual motivation helps you to always keep updated with the world around. As a seeker, you need to assess at regular intervals, the depth and currents of the 'ocean of Sansar', so as to understand the kind of strength which you would require to combat its impact. Thus, to keep yourself vigilant, you will have to constantly update yourself with the happenings of the world around, to utilize the time with such fresh thoughts that are beneficial to you.
Spiritual motivation leads you to vibrant activities. When you regularly and sincerely put into practice the teachings of Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta, The Upanishads and such Scriptural Texts, supported with Yoga Sadhana, Dhyan Sadhana, Maun Sadhana and Sree Ishwara Upasana, your body-mind-intellect get invigorated with positive energy. The fresh flow of the positive energy brings vitality to the body, slowing down the process of degeneration. It further keeps the mind free from Shadvikara (attachment, anger, greed, delusion, arrogance and jealousy), making it calm and composed. The positive energy deeply works on your intellect. It improves the memory faculty, enhances creativity and helps to sublimate ego; as a result of which it makes the intellect a perfect instrument for you to progress in your field of activity and also to reflect upon the deeper import of the Scriptures.
Sincere studies of the Scriptures in this way, supported with regular spiritual practises interspersed with your day-to-day activities, will give you an insight into what the great Masters have declared about your relationship with the world and with the 'Absolute Reality'. The concept of these two is vividly given by the Spiritual Masters and having known both, they say, one attains the Ultimate Happiness - 'Paramanand'. Therefore, the Spiritual pursuit gradually will lead you to progressive happiness, proportionate to your Sadhana skills. The ultimate Goal is of course thus attainable by every seeker by leading yourself to your own Bliss.
The act of sacrifice offered in the sacred fire called Homam, is one of the important Sadhanas prescribed by the scriptures for purification of mind-intellect equipment. While the Holy Mantras chanted during the Homam purify the thoughts, the oblations offered in the Sacrificial Fire signify sacrificing ego in the Fire of Knowledge. This practice truly helps the performer to integrate and establish better coordination between inner equipment’s i.e. mind and intellect, which in turn, makes him cheerful, content, joyous and happy.
At SISS, the year 2016 is scheduled to be commenced by performing Sree Vishnu Sahastranaam Homam on 1st January, with the renewed resolve to continue on the glorious path of Self-attainment shown by the great Spiritual Masters, by means of practicing the Sadhanas for self-improvement and self-elevation. All are welcome to join in this Spiritual journey with family and friends by participating in multifarious activities of SISS, all the year round. This could be a game-changer for your family!
