WHAT IS SAMABHAAV?

Ranjani (Faridabad)

“Hari Aum! Can you please explain “SAMABHAAV” How do we understand this from our standpoint?”

Manish ji’s reply: [as understood by me]

“Samabhaav is to perceive things as they are. Our coloured vision makes us look at things as they are not due to the state of one’s mind. Predominance of Guna will determine the state of the mind.

Equality cannot be defined according to our suitability. According to the Scriptures each one has to perform one’s own Dharm. Essentially, we all are ONE, but in day to day life for smooth functioning of all that is expressed, each one has to be considered in its proper place according to its properties.

This will happen if we see things as they are in the right perspective. The story of the Mahatma and the Scorpion is best suited to understand this. Every time the Mahatma saved the scorpion from drowning each time it would sting Him. It is the nature of the Mahatma to save and that of the scorpion to sting. Each one performs as per one’s own Dharm.

Since in our limitation we cannot see ‘Oneness, we should at least try and see things as they are. This can come with practice – Practice to keep the focus by increasing the intensity of qualitative Sadhana towards the Essential Self.”
