Perceiving Auspiciousness

Shikha – Aurangabad Study Circle

Q) “Hari Aum Manishji, can you kindly explain, how in our limited capacities, can we perceive Auspiciousness?”

Manish ji's reply:

[As understood by me]

“The choice is of the individual's. We are only very busy seeing what the eyes see in the day-to-day, but do not pay attention to the ‘Life’ that powers the eyes. We only hear sounds but not the ‘Life’ that powers the ears to hear sounds. The Rope (Auspicious) alone exists, but if we perceive the snake (inauspicious) how is the rope to be blamed?

Regular Saadhna, being under the guidance of the Guru, Faith in the teachings of Scriptures, will all help us go towards perceiving Auspiciousness.

Let us take a more familiar example - that of a Hindu marriage ceremony. Generally, we attend with a view to enjoy socializing, eat fancy food, vibe with good music etc etc... How much do we pay attention to pray to the sacred Fire God invoked during the ceremony, which forms the basic foundation of the institution of marriage?  Examples can be multiplied…

So make the right choice and you can train yourself to move towards Auspiciousness.

Association here again plays a very important role. Keeping company of the good will take us towards purifying our perceptions.”
