Q) “Hari Aum! Can you please explain the five bounden duties prescribed for Grihast Ashram?”
Manish ji's reply:
[As understood by me]
“The five bounden duties mandatory for Grihast Ashram are-
1. Brahm Yagnya – Daily studying the Scriptures.
2. Dev Yagnya – Worshipping the Divine.
3. Pitr Yagnya – Performing Shraaddh and offering food, water etc to the departed ancestors.
4. Nri Yagnya – Service towards fellow beings with an attitude of detachment. It is the intent behind the service which is important.
5. Bhut Yagnya – Service towards beings, mainly any five beings like cow, bird, dog, ant, and other animals….
All the five Yagnyas have to be performed daily by one in the Grihast Ashram.”
