DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN GOOD AND BAD KARM

Aadya – Chh. Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad)

“Hari Aum!

Q) While doing my daily activities, how can I be mindful about each karm of mine if it is good or bad? Am I even capable of distinguishing one from the other? “

Manish ji’s reply:

[As understood by me]

“For example: A passenger in plane cannot play the role of the First Officer or the Commanding Officer. Years of training is needed for him to become a First Officer, and further to become the Commanding Officer.

Similarly, daily sadhana is a must to bring about gradual progress in our flight to the higher realms of experience.

Again, if the over-head water tank is clean, then rest assured that only clean water will flow out of it. To ensure that I get clean water from the tap, I will not have to work with the quality of water flowing from it as a single stream, but will have to keep a regular check of the quality of water in the reservoir.

Similarly, Religion and Spirituality need to be practised daily to keep the reservoir of Gunas within pure, as these Gunas propel thoughts and actions.

Knowing is not going to lead to anything! One must do consistent and regular ‘shravanam’ of the Scriptures, contemplation on the same i.e. ‘mananam’, and then its implementation i.e. ‘niddhidhyaasanam’. With this practice, the Mind-Intellect equipment will be tuned for effective functioning in the waking and the dream worlds.”
