Hari Aum!

Ensuing Sree Guru Purnima, a 4-day retreat began at SISS, Noida on 13th July. Sree Guru Paduka Puja was led by Chaitanya ji (Sri Manish Sharma). Salutations in full reverence were offered to the great Guru-s - Bhagwaan Sree Sadashiv, Bhagwaan Sree Baadaraayan (Maharshi Ved Vyas ji), ever auspicious Adi Shankaracharya ji and our own Embodiments of Knowledge (Param Guru Swami Tapovan ji Maharaj, Sankat Mochan Sree Guru Swami Chinmayananda ji and HH Maa Purnananda Saraswati).

On this most auspicious occasion, a book titled ‘The Great Universal ladder (18 steps to transcend conditionings’ was also released. This book has been authored by HH Maa Purnananda ji. “When the ultimate Goal is Self-realisation, life itself becomes a pilgrimage”- a quote from this book. The foreword for this book has been penned by Chaitanya ji.

The devotees were further nourished and invigorated by a sumptuous prasad meal.

In midst of the elevating discourses by Maa ji, participants from Aurangabad, Assam, Dubai and NCR, got the opportunity to perform Sree Guru Paad Puja on all the days of the retreat.

This time the Retreat Schedule included Brahmgnyanawalimala (the Song of the Supreme Knowledge, sung by Sree Adi Shankaracharya ji and Vedant Vision (PPP) besides meditation, sacred chants & bhajans.

Through Brahmgnyanawalimala, the entire essence of Vedas in capsule form was developed by Maa ji. Expounding the rightful import of each term (step- by- step), Maa ji brought us to the ultimate truth exclamation of Adi Shankaracharya ji: “Brahm Satyam Jaganmithya Jeevo brahmaivanaparah”. (Brahman is Truth, the world is false and jiva is itself in fact nothing other than Brahman).

The above was complemented by a wonderful power-point presentation on Vedant Vision which provided a total overview right from the source of Vedas up-to its wide & eternal spread encompassing every sphere of science.

With humble prostrations at the lotus feet of Paarijaat, our revered Guru Maa.
