Hari Aum!

Pranaams at the Lotus Feet of Maa ji!

Pranaams at the Holy Feet of Sree Guru Parampara!!

On the auspicious occasion of Sree Geeta Jayanti & Sree Tapovan Maharaj Jayanti we had the blessed opportunity of listening to Maa ji on a Call Talk and get an insight into Ladder of fall and Ladder of rise.

Firstly, as our mind falls every now and then, do we realise it? Our Sanatana Dharma makes us aware of our fall of the mind and gives many ways to uplift ourselves. The following two verses from Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta chapter 2, mark the fall of a human being.

As I start to think about the world and worldly objects constantly, my ability to comprehend gets destroyed, and thus I start falling. Here Lord has given eight steps in the order of downfall, to show how a man can perish through wrong thinking.

1) Thoughts
2) Attachment
3) Desire
4) Anger
5) Delusion
6) Loss of memory
7) Discrimination is destroyed
8) Perishes

This is the Ladder of fall. I need to rise from the step where I am by using my discriminative faculty and intellect properly. I need to meditate upon Higher, so that I don’t get attached to the world. Our Sanatan Dharma guides us till we reach our goal, for that we need the guidance of a Sadguru. To rise from the level we are at, we need a Ladder too. Two beautiful verses from Sreemad Bhagwad Geeta chapter 6 give us the secret of rising.

We can uplift ourselves by our own Self alone. The Self in me is my friend as well as enemy. Lower self has to be won over by the Higher Self, so that it doesn’t become my enemy. Higher in me is the divine thought and the lower in me is the worldly thought. For me to rise up the ladder with dynamism and purity of intention, I need to regularly study Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta with intense focus and complete faith.

We need the blessings of Lord Krishna, Sree Guru Parampara and Sree Tapovan Maharaj ji to read, practice and comprehend the teachings of Sreemad Bhagawad Geeta, so that we improve ourselves and slip within to rise above.

One of the quotes by Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda ji gives the whole message in a single capsule. :

“When I slip outside - I fall, when I slip inside - I rise. Without - I go only to come down, within - I go only to rise above “

Maa ji also made us mark five important occasions of 2022, which a seeker of SISS must resolve to observe.

1) Maha Shivraatri
2) Sree Adi Shankaracharya Jayanti and Sree Gurudev Jayanti
3) Sree Guru Purnima
4) Sree Ishwara Maha Abhishekam
5) Sree Geeta Jayanti and Sree Tapovan Maharaj Jayanti

Prostrations at the Holy Feet of Sree Guru Parampara.

My sincere gratitude to Manish ji for giving us this opportunity.
