We are the jeeva (egocentric personality) born out of the Atman (Consciousness), which we fail to acknowledge because our minds are trained by science. The spark in us also, is the same spark as that of the Supreme Reality. But, we are born out of our desires and our mind is limited to day-to-day thinking. We have to reveal the Satcidanand – our true Self, and not discover it. For this we need to drop “naam” and “roop” because we identify everything with their names and forms. Meditation becomes necessary to quieten the mind to practice this.
