यद्यप्येते न पश्यन्ति लोभोपहतचेतसः ।
कुलक्षयकृतं दोषं मित्रद्रोहे च पातकम् ॥1.38||

In this sloka Arjuna is justifying his nervous state to fight with his own relatives. He is saying that Kauravas are going to incur the sin of destroying their own clan in this war due to their greed. Kauravas are blinded by their greed to such an extent that they are not able to see the sin they are going to incur by destroying their own clan and betraying their friends.
