The Divine Data is Required Urgently!

Right from childhood, human being is exposed to the objective world around and is taught about all concerning it. Mostly, the child is kept away from the studies and practices prescribed by the Men of Wisdom regarding the Divine within him. When sufficient data is not available, then how does one expect to dissociate himself from the sense-objects so as to get firmly associated with the Divine within?

The dilemma of being driven by the forceful flow of thoughts cropping up from Chitt (mind-stuff) which is the store-house of memories developed through actions and experiences of past several lives, that has turned into Vasna-s (inherent tendencies expressed as desires), leads man to act helplessly according to such thoughts. Hence it requires proper analyses of one’s own quality of thoughts to assess the kind of course-correction required to change the track of thoughts for transformation of Chitt.

The sacred works of the Rishi-s contain the Subjective Science that explains the intricacies of the life of humans at the subtle and causal levels, which are beyond the purview of objective science. Therefore, to rectify the internal or subtle defects in beliefs, thoughts and intents, it is mandatory to study Subjective Sciences as much it is important to study objective sciences for physical survival and progress.

Interestingly, man understands the importance of being physically healthy and fit to pursue his desires to live a long, happy and flourishing life. But he seldom thinks of internal integrity, purification, elevation and evolution towards the Divine Self! These thoughts do not emerge from the available data stored in the mind-stuff, probably due to non-availability, or, due to being superseded by Vasna-s. Therefore sufficient Divine inputs are required on a regular basis. A child is admitted to a school for basic education considering it to be essential for survival in the worldly ocean. Furthermore, depending upon the need or greed, the grownups educate themselves to survive, live and enjoy in the material world.

The whole set-up of human society is usually found to be such, where people work hard to meet the two ends and to satiate their desires. And, they find the need for their respective religions mostly when in some kind of trouble in life! Calling “God” or the “Ooperwalla” is only need-based for most. Now, not having sufficient data about “God” ultimately deludes man even more, when the desired results are not received by such “worshippers”. Lack of input of correct information, education and knowledge about “God” leads the whole lot of humans into further darkness, ignorance, violence, uncultured behaviour, arrogance and whatnot! To avoid such downfall of humanity and human concerns culminating into destruction and devastation, the Divine Data is essential and urgent requirement. Human society will have to wake up to the Call of the Wise at the earliest to stop such calamitous self-destructive mind-set which won’t even spare the devastation of the nature around. Destruction of natural resources, mutations in plant and animal kingdoms and consciously cultivating manipulative minds; for endless greed, selfish motives and unnatural material progress respectively, are all the outcome and effects of lack of input of proper and sufficient Divine Data. This deficiency is far more dangerous hand extremely harmful for humans, nay the whole creation indeed.

Saving humanity and the nature around cannot be possible by trying to do so issue-wise. Our Rishi-s have already warned us about it and have recorded Their invaluable advice about how to nurture the inner-equipment with the correct data feeding right from childhood throughout life without any break. It is observed that today, even if the children are brought-up with certain religious and cultural support, as soon as they enter their teen age, unfortunately they want to and are even supported by their parents, to be excused from all such studies and activities that are related to the religious and cultural traditions of the family; all with the lame excuse of being already over-burdened with their academic education and worldly activities!

This kind of nurturing of human minds, with loads of contamination, corruption and manipulation; owing to the oversight of constant and sufficient Divine Data, leads man to unimaginable mental entanglements and bondages. Can progress and happiness in true sense be expected from mental bondage?

The given verse reads seemingly simple, but, when given a deeper thought to it, reveals deep study of human mind and the reason behind the worldly sufferings. It says – “It is indeed the mind that is the cause of man’s bondage and liberation. The mind that is attached to sense-objects leads to bondage, while dissociated from sense-objects it tends to lead to liberation, so do They (the Wise) think.”
