वासांसि जीर्णानि यथा विहाय
नवानि गृह्णाति नरोऽपराणि |

Just as a person sheds worn out clothes and wears new ones, in the same way, the Soul sheds an old body and adorns a new one.
Here, the soul is the conditioned Self. The physical body that it acquires has a destiny of its own which is due to the Soul’s prarabdham.
Hence, in our day to day lives we need to be conscious of each “Karma”. We also need to remember that the body is only a clothing that is temporary.
