प्रकाशं च प्रवृत्तिं च मोहमेव च पाण्डव |
न द्वेष्टि सम्प्रवृत्तानि न निवृत्तानि काङ् क्षति ||14.22||

“Prakash (light)” = Sattva, “Pravrutti (activity)” = Rajas, “Moha (delusion)” = Tamas. A man of knowledge stays unaffected by all these.
Picturize a man standing by a river – the mind (thoughts) is the flow of water. Only the one who is unaffected by the flow (here, ‘Gunas’), will be able to cross the river.
